Makes sense. I wouldn't want to watch black people in porn either. They're just not my type.

You know what, I've heard numerous people say this, but it's just something that I can't wrap my head around myself. For me I am fine with all races.

Everybody has his own sexual preferences. For instance, I don't find glasses attractive, and neither do I find black people attractive. That doesn't mean I think differently about people with glasses or black people, I simply think that they aren't as beautiful as white people without glasses.

You don't like glasses either? D:

... is there anything you don't like?

Tattoos.

That is some suspicious behavior. I'd get off too.

I sort of understand that feeling. When we see something out of the ordinary, we tend to be cautious.

Sometimes, I see weird situations happening when taking the subway and I just prefer to wait for the next, or just stepped out and change cars. This weekend, I saw a bunch of soccer fans in the subway, and one among them was pulling a "joint" - a marihuana cigarette. Some of them had tattoos related to criminal groups well-known here. And none of them were black or even seemed mixed.

Some people didn´t care but I got off the next station, I was carrying a case with my mandolin, my phone and other belongings, in my way to the church and I suddenly felt anxious. In my city, thefts are not uncommon in very crowded places and specially when these ultras meet.

Just an example. There were other similar situations, with different circunstances, but in my case, it´s just that I live in a country where street crime is very common, so we are always experiencing situations like that.

Your comments about black peple in germany being a bit of a rarity strike me as wierd. Mostly because I've grown up around black and mixed germans and have always had plenty of contact with them.

I now live in a bit of a black neighborhood (lots of black stylists/barbers and specialized shops around) but that hasn't always been the case and I still saw plenty of black people on the train daily.
They are certainly a minority, especially in eastern germany I guess.

German black immigrants often have widespread community connections though, (I have a friend who, despite not having a lot of contact with him, keeps being adressed by people who are strangers to her, but know her father and ask after how she's doing etc.), so what you saw might just be people who know each other casually at best, that had a polite little chat and then went about heir seperate days.

Well I can see myself doing the same...so either we’re both terrible or neither are. Especially give how awful the current climate is for these things. Just the other day at work, one of my employees forwarded me an issue with an assembly line worker writing down “AK-47” on a sign-up sheet for Saturday overtime, and she was honestly scared to come into work because of it. We’re just in an unfortunate place where people are genuinely worried about these things, and rightfully so.

The way I see it, is that even if there’s only a 1/1000 chance of anything bad happening, that bad thing is still over 10000 times worse than being 10 minutes late. Doing the math, your logic makes sense.

I do understand this fear, but the thing is, that if I acted out on these fears, I don't know if I'd ever leave the house. I used to frequently be scared of cougars attacking me, me getting murdered or getting into an accident, etc. I end up having to calm myself down instead, because otherwise I'd not be able to do anything.

It feels kind of harsh to do this but...

Do cougars even live in Canada? Unless.... you were referring to a different kind of cougar? :O

No, there are no cougars where I live. But I was afraid of it happening in any case. In fact, I still get afraid of being caught up in a school shooting at times. So, I end up having to just calm myself down and persevere.

Doesn't Canada actually have gun control? Can't say school shootings is something I've ever worried about considering you just don't see guns outside of airports in my country...

We've had school shootings here, like the École Polytechnique.
