Forums - Nintendo - Ideas for spinoffs or new games on existing Nintendo franchises

A Zelda Maker series (Zelda I, II and III are too diffent in their approaches to unite them under one base design) where you design dungeons temples palaces of the different games

Then a couple of ideas I had in the past:

1. Super Paper Bowser:
Of all the main Mario characters, Bowser's the only one who didn't get his own game yet (Peach got Super princess Peach, Toad got Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker). A new villain is in Town, an he assessed that Mario, Luigi Peach and Toad are the most dangerous to his conquest plans after a long observation, and starts a surprise invasion where he takes all four of them captive. He then sends his troops against Bowser and the Koopa Troop, but fails just gefore the end: Bowser's castle lies mostly in ruins, but he's still free and has a couple of troops left under his command, as well as his generals (Kammy, Bowser jr. and the Koopalings). From there, Bowser will send out his troops to retake the kingdom from the new villain sector by sector, with each sector bringing something special (like a town of goombas allowing to recruit goombas, ingedients for health items, parts to rebuild and expand the castle...). Combat would be close to the original, but automated because the battles will be mostly 8 vs 8 (1 general or officer + 7 troops; you can still pause and change which attacks or moves each one performs). Defense should not be neglected however, as the ennemy posesses the airship factories and can mount a raid on the castle at any time. If the castle falls or Bowser gets kidnapped, it's game over.

2. Amiibo Series: A series of free to start (as Nintendo prefers to call f2p games like this) games which need at least one amiibo to play and work with all the amiibos
2a) Amiibo Series: Nintendo Park: Building a theme Park around Nintendos IPs. Each Amiibo has 5 unlocks for your Park. For instance, Donkey Kong would unlock a Minecart Rollercoaster, a Tropical fruit stand, a palm Tree, a Donkey Kong costume for park entertainers and a miscellaneous decorative object; Luigi would unlock the Haunted House, the Shroom Shake milkbar, lanterns with a green flame inside, a Luigi costume for park entertainers and a miscellaneous object. Third party amiibos would only yield misc objects, but still work with the game.

Why does no one want a Kid Icarus game? Uprising was only a 9 because the controls were fucking awful.

The switch removes that problem, and they're capable of adding so much more

3)          A new Punch-Out taking cues from ARMS: Though I never played Punch-Out before, I have heard great things for it.And while I also didnt buy ARMS, I did play the demo, and had a great time.So it got me thinking:Why dont Punch-Out take cues from that game(Not the extendable arms part, but rather the rest, such as the different kinds of arenas with hazards, the movement in the arena and its overall importance to the genre) and make a single player focused game out of it?Make a Rocky Bamboa kind of story out of it, like Little Mac being a newbie(So, Im basically suggesting a reboot) and his jorney to the top of the world, with all the drama and plot twists in between.Assuming they nail the gameplay like they have with ARMS(My opinion), it could be one hell of a game.

I would love to see a new Mario + Luigi game done in 3D (or back to pixel graphics).
They have a lot more buttons on the Switch so the combat could be reinvented with relative ease.

An Ice Climbers, I think could work quite well.
They have two controllers built in with the Switch, and the Ice Climbers are well known to be a duo.
What you do is, have the game as a 2.5D puzzle platformer, where two players have to use their unique skills to climb, solve puzzles and ward off death.

I would also love to see a Captain Falcon game in the style of Yakuza.

Ice climbers.

It's not that hard Nintendo. Just do it already.

One climber, one joypad. Endless Climber mode, and 3d segments that are reminiscent of Minecraft, placing and breaking ice to navigate levels.

Princess Peach RPG-Bowser and his minions have seized the power of the mushroom and have rendered Mario powerless. Peach sets out on an RPG quest with Rosalina and Daisy to help restore the power of the mushroom. Toad and Luigi assist them on their quest powering up items found along the quest.

Zelda + Link RPG- In the vein of the original Mario RPG where enemies join Link and Zelda on an RPG quest to save Lorule.

Town Mayor Mario-Mario is the mayor of the Mushroom Kingdom and must keep his subjects happy. Including keeping the town clean, maintaining the Koopa and Gumba pest problem, and fighting with Bowser to keep his overpriced goods from dominating the Mushroom market.

To be honest, I prefer my Kid Icarus to not have as much Sin & Punishment in it. Probably just nostalgia talking but I preferred the original Kid Icarus on the game boy. xD

I think the revamp done to the series is needed.

The game felt out of place on the 3ds, but I think it would be fitting for Nintendo's current attempt to modernize its game. The online can also be improved, and honestly would be excellent in terms of games that have solid campaigns and online modes

Pretty nice ideas, I like them!

Though I would expand the Zelda & Link RPG a bit more. First, not just save Lorule, but also Hyrule, second I feel that only 2 characters are a bit too limited for an RPG party. I suggest to add at least Impa, as she would make most sense for a third character.

An "open-world" F-Zero game about Captain Falcon's bounty hunting backstory!

F-Zero x Metroid crossover. Romance options for Captain Falcon would include Samus, samus and samus.

I see you're a person of culture!
