They're just teasing you, building up your anticipation. You'll get your own special release date.

Like a bunch of cock teasing whores that keep delaying the sex until the time runs out so they can double charge you after making you extra horny

I think there might be a story here. Something you want to tell us, Yuri? d:

I'm really looking forward to getting my copy either today or on Tuesday. Even though I've never played the game I have a history with it. Back in early 2012 I was studying hard in university and me and a friend discussed which games we should get to reward ourselves for passing the exams. I thought the Xenoblade special edition with the red Classic Controller Pro looked awesome, but I had also waited to play Skyrim on my PS3 (the PS3 version of Skyrim had a bug where the frame rate would lower the more you played the game, and patching this took the devs months). I leaned towards Xenoblade, but she told me how amazing Skyrim was and many of my friends played and loved it... so I bought Skyrim.

When I was ready to play Xenoblade the prices for the game had gone up considerably. I never got around to playing it but I did look at the edition with that red Classic Controller Pro quite a few times. And I bought Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on Switch partially because I regretted not having played the first one. I didn't play the Xenoblade 3DS port because it looked inferior to the Wii game. Now I can finally play it, and in the best version, too!

Why am I getting absolutely destroyed in the Tephra caves? Sure I have expert mode on and haven't distributed exp, but I don't remember doing many sidequestes in the original, and didn't have nearly this much trouble. Plus I used my Xenoblade 2 bonus to actually by decent armor.

Can't wait to get it! There's been so much talk about resolution this resolution that, but to me it looks exactly like how i remember it looked like when i 1st played it on the Wii all those years ago (not saying it looks like a Wii game in terms of resolution tho).

Option 1: You aren't any good at the game.

Option 2: Common travel points and landmarks don't grant big EXP, but early in the game you only need small amounts of EXP to level up. Without expert mode, you'd have level 6 at the beginning of Tephra while avoiding all battles and sidequests up till that point. Doing only a few sidequests would bump you to level 10 which is more than sufficient to get through Tephra.

Could be both.  I was at level 5 when I entered the cave.

That seems like a problem with expert mode.  It's kind of hard to judge where you "should" be.  So far, doesn't seem like there is a recommended level or anything like that.

Can't you turn it on and off? Maybe leave it off for the first 15 hours or so, while you get re-adjusted to the game.

The enemies have their levels displayed.

Yeah, but in RPGs you're not always meant to be at exactly the same level esp since enemies may attack in groups.  It's a guideline, but even matching their levels I was having trouble.  Which of course could just mean I suck.

Did you try fighting the giant worm surrounded by other smaller worms at the entrance? Because you should probably skip that battle for now xD

Nah, I walked around it like a good boy.
