Nintendo's problem (if you can call it that - its not really a problem) is that November is all about Black Friday and thats generally all about price. Sure Switch will sell great as its a wanted item, but I think XBOX and PS will beat it in November because of Black Friday. Because BF is about price and its the Switches first year and cannot really get a massive discount. PS4 and Xbox are 4 years old, have had revisions, and can be discounted. So Switch not winning November isn't the end of the world, its probably expected... it may also impact it winning in December if good deals continue on the other two platforms.

Perhaps I am catastrophizing (which is what I usually do), but I feel like the other systems being significantly cheaper will divert a lot of holiday shoppers away from the Switch to the point where it will lose momentum. Truth is that I have always been skeptical about the Switch's price from the beginning largely because anything above $200 has historically not worked well for handheld products (the Vita and 3DS's troubles at $250 is evidence of this). I understand that Switch is also a home console, but now we have these more powerful home consoles (with much bigger libraries with less expensive software) that are sold at a significantly lower price as of this holiday, and the Switch, while an incredibly powerful and flexible handheld, is nevertheless priced $100 above the typical sweet spot for a handheld console. I just cannot see how it can maintain momentum like this.

Idk, pre-launch people said that $299 was way too expensive since PS4/XBO were much more powerful with much more games and cost the same yet Switch has done great thus far.

I think we need to realize that Switch doesnt really compete directly against PS4/XBO, it offers a completely different experience and they actually complement each other very well.

I hope we get an updated sales figure for Horizon Zero Dawn before it starts getting bundled with things. Should be close to or above 5m by now

It had a big boost in June and a small one last month in the US. This holiday should give it another big boost with the new dlc tied to it. 5mil should be the minimum by years end. 6mil is a safe bet. 7mil would be insane, dont think theyll ship much more after 2017 is over.

We havent gotten updated numbers since may i believe

It wouldn't surprise me if they sold it for 10 bucks next year lol.

Not surprised its at $20 now (when on sale) and is currently $40 in most retails. But to give HDZ credit it did hold the msrp of $60 much longer than most games ever hope for. It didnt go down intill 4months after launch (excluding sales)

frustrating to see Horizon get these deals in the US, it's still full price on amazon UK. No one even seems to be selling the complete edition online either

Yay everybody's golf is back in the top 100. Hopefully the game gets the love it deserves.

Ps4 most likely fell 1 because with the sudden burst now people need to buy the most popular psn card. That said switch when you think about it and non effected

People probably double dipping on PSn cards now that they got a PS4.

Indeed, Sony knows that more hardware sold = PSN cards. Can it make back to 1 ?

1 years subscription to PS+ was the least popular PSN card not that long ago. The power of not allowing cross play clearly at work. Business is business and Sony isn't stupid.
