Its far too easy and the camera can have some issues. Over all a good game I would give it a 8.5/10

it gets harder after the main story is complete
if you are a seasoned mario player.. like i guess you are.. there is no super challange until after that point.. beyond that though you'll find your fair share of hard stuff that will make you wanna smash your controller..
Have several moons that i legit just quit trying to get and went for others cause i just couldn't do it.. have some that i have yet to complete.. and the final challange is brutal.. did 20 ish tries.. each taking about 4-5minutes.. and died every single time.. nudged further by a few steps each time but holy f*ck.. if you mess up something you take a hit. and you don't replenish hearts easy

Yeah, plus even before that point, there are ways and points in which Super Mario Odyssey rewards skill.

It's sublime. I went into the game expecting a lot out of it and it's blown me away. I've never enjoyed a 3D Mario game like this before. The skill ceiling in the game is insane, whilst it certainly is easy if you take the quick route, mastering all of Mario's techniques add a whole new layer to the gameplay. There's so many moons where I've just skipped what was the 'obvious' route and just utilised cappy jumps and such to cut straight through, it's massive fun just finding your own path. There's a myriad of easter eggs too which I've found entertaining, and beyond that, it doesn't feel like a chore at all (BOTW did to me, made it impossible to 100%); I'm just having fun the whole time. It's the best 3D Mario game imo.

It's a 9/10 game for me so far, held back by some camera issues so 8.5/10.

I'm at the 5th world, got close to 200 moons. The score can go either way. Hunting for moons is already getting a bit repetitive, yet each new world so far is unique. A bit more platforming gameplay and less find the spot would make it perfect. It's on par with SMG, could surpass it if the game keeps bringing new unique things.

Probably the best Mario game in the entire franchise, including spin-offs.
