The marketing disparity between the Switch and PS4 in Canada is fairly large from what I've seen. PS4 has a much bigger presence on TV, with many more unique spots than the Switch has had. And those ads get played more often as well.

Depends, you could go watch a show on Teletoon and you would only get Switch ads. It actually depends on which channel they're broadcast and which time cuz so far I've seen more Switch ads on TV than PS4 one's.

I've seen the Switch advertised maybe 3 times since it's launch. I saw more PS4 ads last night during the UFC Sao Paulo event than I have for the Switch in total. Some things I watch have no video game ads, but I watch probabaly 1 NFL, 1 MLB, and 1 NHL game per week, and they are all PS4 heavy, with occasional XB1 ads. Literally no Switch. On top of that I watch a few Ameican shows on City TV and Global, as well as South Park and Nathan For You on Much . Mostly PS4, XB1.

Really? I never knew that was the case. On the channels I watch, there have been Xbox and switch ads often, but next to no PS ads. The case must be different on other channels, then.

Apparently that's the case.

Doesnt seem like canada buys that many consoles for its size does it?

The US just hit 2 million and is about 10 times the population so it is about the same per capita as the states.

Not necessarily. Switch is at 2.3 million in the US as of the end of September.

US: 2.3 million out of 323.1 million
Canada: 0.209 million out of 36.29 million

For every 100,000 Americans, 712 have a Switch, while for every 100,000 Canadians, 576 have a Switch.

We don't know the exact time frames for those figures and I did say, "about the same".

It's just their way of saying sorreh for not buying Wii U's.

I wonder what the split is between the 3 because I remember last gen, ps3 and 360 were pretty close. I'm honestly surprised with the switch selling that much though, it's not like we have a shortage problem here, I remember seeing a bunch of boxes a month after launch at many eb games stores across ontario. And I still don't know anyone who has a switch yet which I find odd.

We have solid data for March through July (1.79M), an estimate of 215k for August, and a bare minimum of 240k for September, which is likely much lower than what Switch actually sold given 480k PS4+XOne, which means over 960k Nintendo consoles sold in September.

Gotcha. I thought switch was at 1.79mil by aug. So its 2.25mil at minumum. So 2.3mil is about what it is. Maybe 2.35mil. With SMO it might be 2.8mil by end of Oct!

Liar !

Well, it kinda is.

I mean, we're all humans in the end and we do act, react as such.

But I still love these positive clichés we get from external perspective xD

Never mind, It's not about you.
