An Assassin's Creed in Japan has been cool since the first game was released. But they still refuse. I guess they will do it as soon as sales drop too low for their taste.

I think they're gonna milk Mediterranean setting for a while - Greece and Rome would be my guess.

They've already been in Rome. I wouldn't mind Greece. Though I'd really take any setting that's before the 16th century.

Yeah, but not in Roman Empire...doesn't have to be Rome per se...I mean, I can't wait to put some "Romanes eunt domus" on walls and piss off centurions with bad grammar.

So will likely drop to 82 by the time it get to the typical 100 or so reviews. Not too bad, but not what I think some were hoping for after the year hiatus.

Pretty good reviews so far.

Nice scores, I'll play it later this year.

Was burnt by revelations and assassin's creed 3. It took me around 2 years after the releases of black flag and unity to play them. I still haven't played Syndicate but will probably pick it up soon. I'll wait for the buzz to fade a little then consider getting Origins.

I'm really glad to see this game returning to form. Brotherhood was the last great game imo. Though Black Flag was quite good. Unity was really pretty but had no personality. It was just ok.

Bought this at the same time as SMO. Yet tonolay it but looks good. I want a Vikings AC!!!!!

In case you were wondering, here's how that compares with the rest of the main series:

AC2- 91
AC Brotherhood- 90
AC4- 88
AC Origins- 84
AC1- 81
AC Revelations- 80
AC Syndicate- 78
AC Rogue- 74
AC Unity- 72
AC Liberation- 70

Not bad at all, 4th highest rated game in the series. My rental copy is on the way, can't wait to play it.

I've still gotta get through AC2, and AC4. This one has microtransactions, and day 1 DLC cut from the finished game, so I'll pass.

Game is quite enjoyable so far, played about 3hours, some minor issues but overall pretty good.

I didnt know about the microtransations when brought, but they are off to one side and seem pretty much like the same that was in the previous 2 or 3 games. Where they are only there if you dont play long open world games and go finding lots of things. My game style on open world games - pretty sure never need to go near them.

In terms of DLC, you see if a game is worth it for its parts and not just what they sell as DLC. Microtransations and loot boxes in the core game I have a problem with, DLC I dont as long as the game is worth the cost and you get your monies worth.

I don't think Microtransactions make a game bad, but I avoid games with them as a matter of principal. DLC is fine so long as it isn't cut from the original game. I mean imagine if the Forest and Shadow temples were cut from Ocarina, and then added on for $10 a pop. Or imagine if the challenge stages were cut from Mario x Rabbids and sold to us as a $10 DLC pack.
