Was burnt by revelations and assassin's creed 3. It took me around 2 years after the releases of black flag and unity to play them. I still haven't played Syndicate but will probably pick it up soon. I'll wait for the buzz to fade a little then consider getting Origins.
I'm really glad to see this game returning to form. Brotherhood was the last great game imo. Though Black Flag was quite good. Unity was really pretty but had no personality. It was just ok.
