Could you elaborate on this?

What's strictly necessary to complete the game is rather limited. If you immediately go for the *thank you for playing*, you're going to be done quick. Most moons are optional, about half of them actually only unlock AFTER you've beaten Bowser

(What I heard, second-hand info)

Collecting feathers in Assassin's creed makes the game longer but I wouldn't count it as good content.

This guy has the full let's play of this game and if you count all parts it's 477 minutes long.

You can finish Breath of the Wild in an hour. However, I'm currently over 90 hours in that game, I'm enjoying it a lot, and I'm still not even at the half of the game. What makes you think Mario Odyssey will be different?

The other guy made a thread saying too many nintendo threads and now i see why. Even non nintendo fans are making them xD

I watched the entire game too,and i completely disagree. There's a lot of variety between the kingdoms and they're full of secrets and stuff to do.I can see people who like the linear design of galaxy have a problem with the focus on exploration, but that's why i'm excited for this game.

Some levels are small, others are considerably big.But i never fell like any of them was boring. The dinosaur one,for instance,is a short one,but is also the first level of the entire game,is a tutorial one,and even then there's a lot(and i mean a LOT) to be seen.

And the look of the game is subjective, and you're free to have your opinion, but if you fell like this game feels cheap or lazy,i would'nt personally trust your taste.

Stop being cocky. There're were poeple who tried to defend The Order 1886's lenght by saying that you can play it on the highest difficulty or collect photos  but I didn't change the fact that the game can be objectively called short.

Did you really just compare an open world game to a linear one? my boy, you can play the game however you want you can call it however you want, but the fact is, not everyone will have the same pace in playing a game.

I you expect an open world game then you're going to be dissapointed.

I am pretty sure that you could beat game in speed run even faster (like any other game), but that doesn't mean that game is short.

As said, you can beat the game with 250 moons, but there's over 800 scattered around. So they give you the option to MAKE the game short, if you want to.

But that doesn't mean that game is short and that will affect on reviews and awards, you can beat even Zelda BotW in couple of hours.

It was his first playthrough how could he make a speed run? I watched most of these videos and he played normally.

I didn't said he beat game in speed run, but that you can beat game ever for shorter time in speed run, but that doesn't mean that game is short, it's obvious that game has plenty of content.

I'm pretty sure Flilix said BotW then you compared it to Order 1886, so...

I don't think a speedrun is a valid comparison, because some people are mad crazy with time-saving strategies and thus generally have a sense of knowledge of the game that hardly anyone else has.

That being said, I agree with the sentiment that a game being shorter than other (let's say that's indeed the case with Odyssey) isn't inherently a negative thing. Not all games require the same length.
