The wage pay gap myth has been debunked a long time ago. I suggest checking out the factual feminist's youtube video on it.

For the second, yes but what equal rights are you fighting for?

"Myth" How is it a myth? Are you saying they don't get paid less? And for the second one, I'm saying that there is a certain mindset that exists that views sexual assault of women as more acceptable than sexual assault of men.

Rather surprising that you're still claiming that there is a pay gap (when it's really an earnings gap which is entirely different) when other people and I already explained to you that this isn't the case. And this was months ago, I should add.

Anyways, the wage gap talk stops here. This thread is about GAF and if you want to talk about the wage gap, do it somewhere else.

Women make less than men, both on average and by the median:

Women are more often victims of sexual assault than men:

Yeah, I used to think the same way but then I started listening to people who could break it down rationally.

The wage gap is a myth ....

And the second thing you said is literally a lie. Men usually aren't even allowed to talk about their experiences with sexual assualt - because no one cares. Unless you're 10 and under and are getting assualted by a guy, you pretty much don't have any considered credibility for assualt. Which is why things are slowly changing and people are seeing the double standard. To say it's the opposite is lunacy for the sake of an ideology ...

Oh fuck, now I've had 3 people quote me and I can't respond back.

Alright, one last time. Drop the wage gap discussion. This thread is about GAF's meltdown, so take it somewhere else.

LOL just watched a video where they said two years ago he turned down $10m to sell the site I bet he's kicking himself now along with everyone else kicking him.

I am sure it will still stay popular.

There's always the possibility it all goes away quietly or it's proven false, but it faces a lot of headwinds which makes me sure its better days are a thing of the past. The former mods could start their own forum, developers and journalists will be much less comfortable posting and sourcing from the site of a known sex assailant, not to mention the mostly leftist community will probably move or risk being seen as hypocrites (remember that website was one of the foremost supporters of Hillary Clinton on the internet); or Tyler could simply decide to sell it to some media conglomerate for a lower price which will finish running it down to the ground, as it happened with many other game websites.

the fact that women aren't in the same jobs as men is inequality in itself; they have only recently started having the opportunity that men have for high paid jobs, and jobs in the STEM field etc are discouraged for women. furthermore, noticing that females are more often the victims of sexual assault =/= ignoring male victims.

its all well and good to say women have equal rights, but the fact remains that being born female puts you at a disadvantage, unless you want to stay at home. all you have to do is listen to how a lot of guys talk about and sexualise women, or look at how half the media reports on females in political positions, to notice that there is a power imbalance.

im not going to post in this thread anymore, i think a mod said they will start reporting, so I'm sorry that i won't reply.

Why are you responding? If i start to read that men get sexually abused in the same way and as often as woman than why the response? I wouldnt do that. Basement kids/red baseball Cap owners arent worth to listen to or responding to. Let it. They have red baseball caps. If you see that, STOP the discussion with them cause you are speaking against a wall.

Am I reading this situation wrong, or are you misrepresenting people? Because I didn't see that typed anywhere, I sure as hell didn't say that, and I didn't see Gribble or Lawlight ever bring that up.

Just want to point out a feel things

First, in the case of the hollywood producer, a lot of women claimed that he invited her to his apartment, or a party and them cacelled last minute and them showed up at the room only with a towel and asked for a massage. I mean, not all of them, but with some he did "just that" you now? Can you see any parrallels here? The producer showed up naked. Evilore showed up naked. The producer didn't force the women in his room. Neither did evilore. He asked for it, but didn't exactly made a move. Evilore showed up behind her, but didn't made contact with her when she said no. So, what is the difference?

Second, in a kotaku article, the woman reveal more details. The woman said that evilore helped her with contacts in the industry (she is a film director- that is probably why she was there with him in the first place) and also told that after that episode, she still keep contact with him and even had a " brief physical relationship" with him:

This is strange for me, but i remenber that one of the pivotal points of the movie Watchmen was something like that, rigth?

Third, this all reminds me of one or two episodes of series like HYMYM and friends:

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
