Oh yeah. One dream that thankfully came true. |
If your dream game is roughly an 8/10, then sure
A better BotW. Or a bigger ALBW.
Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Not that review scores makes any difference whatsoever to MY opinion, but:

The PS5 Exists.

If they don't make any difference why did you try to make them into a point? Lol.
The way I see it a dream game is a game that is nearly perfect, and Last of Us is far from that, although very good.
Also, Modern Warfare 2 got a 94/100 on metacritic. So are reviewers trust worthy or not? We can't play this pick and choose game anymore.
Nier Automata is the game of my dreams that I didn't know it was the game of my dreams until I played it.
Also, I have not played Breath of the Wild, but ever since it was revealed, it always looked like the Zelda game of my dreams. Same with Mario Odyssey.

A dream game is a game that you dream about being made. I dreamt about a desperate and bleak postapocalyptic survival action game reminiscent of great properties like The Road. The kind that was toyed with in the advertising for several games for years but never really delivered on. I waited a decade for that kind of game and thankfully received it in The Last of Us (arguments could be made for Stalker and Metro too, but I wanted the action adventure format more than the FPS one).

I know WHAT a dream game is, but the thread is a little unclear about whether that is a dream game conceptually or a dream game that is fully realized through it's execution. I just assumed that, since The Last of Us is already out, when you say dream game you meant a game that not only interested you conceptually but met your expectations for your "dream game".
And if it did, fair enough.
I have always thought the ultimate game would be a mixture of real life and he digital world. PlayStation Home was actually sort of a rough draft of what I think would be perfect.
Basically an endless open world, that has endless possability and gameplay options. You can have your own Apartment, Home, Mansion, etc., you have the ability to drive, fly, run, walk, warp, swim, to any destination. You can hop into any type of game and enjoy any experience you want. Every thing you do, everything you earn, all links back to you in a meaningful way through rewards, credits, and such that can be displayed in your world.
On top of the digital magical experience, their would also be spaces based in reality, where you can shop, get education, see real world destinations, learn history, and much more. Again all of this would tie back into the overall system showing your achievements.
That would be the ultimate game to me. An all encompassing digital world that brings together everything you do in games and reality.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

I did something similar a few years back. Except I came back a year or so later and decided they were all terrible - although I still have part of Donkey Kong one up my sleeve.
Most of my current thinking reveloves around missing features in current games. Like in. Any FPS games, player shoots over cover but another player views is as though they are shooting through cover. Or lack of predictive intelligence in players in games like fifa.
