Just to clarify my position on this before 'certain' individuals use the usual tactics: Whenever something this serious crops up (including Weinstein), I wait for the evidence to be presented before I form an opinion AT ALL. And even if I form a 'general' opinion on the matter, I'm always open for more proof to alter that opinion for the better or for the worse. These matters are too serious to be used in the context of a 'console war', which is why I still haven't given my opinion. I neither agree with this statement, disagree with this statement or think it in any way changes anything in terms of the accusations. It's merely something to bare in mind before we make ANY judgements pertaining to individuals on BOTH sides of this:

We have not found any evidence of having received allegations from Mr. Ballard that he was harassed in any way at Naughty Dog or Sony Interactive Entertainment. If they haven't found evidence of any received allegations there's nothing they can really do about it I guess?

First we have to wait to see if there is any evidence, then we have to see whether 'sexual harrassment' can be attributed to that evidence. I'm still undecided until I see solid evidence either way. A Tweet (accusation) isn't evidence.

We'll see. At this point we can't assume anything. Either the accuser or the accused could be lying here. It also depends on what 'sexual harrassment' means here, after all even 'rape' has been attributed to 'words' in some campasses in the US. We need proof AND context. 

I think you're missing the point. ND hasn't received any report about sexual harrasment.

I'm not missing the point, I'm accepting that people sometimes bury information or outright lie. Now, before you take the black and white view from that sentence, KNOW that I haven't in any way decided if there IS a lie or whether one party or the other has lied. 

Just let's wait and see before we judge. As it stands, this DOES suggest ND are telling the truth simply because it's a swift response and records can be examined by a third party. Nothing is off the table for me until I have more on this to decide.

He also claimed that his standard NDA severance bonus (usually an additional 3-12 months pay, depending on length of service) was a bribe so he wouldn’t say anything about sexual assault. If they really were trying to bribe him into not speaking about a sexual assault, it would be more than a paltry $20K, which is significantly under what he could sue for.

I am definitely no Sony or Naughty Dog fan; I am just pointing out that the guy’s evidence for the accusation is very shaky. It also doesn’t sound like something a video game company the size of Sony would risk.

Yes, this is definitely something to consider but in no way does it 'prove' either party are not being completely honest. It goes on my list of things to consider until more substantial information is revealed.

There is no waiting and seeing because nothing further will happen as no investigation can be done. Unless other people speak out that is.
