Forums - Nintendo - First Super Mario Odyssey Review in! (EDGE)

haven't seen it mentioned yet that EDGE were allowed to get their reviews of Mario and Zelda out before anyone else and just so happened to give them both 10s. Very suspicious

you'll see it when they get the first Yoshi review next year and give that a 10 as well

You are paranoic

They probably got the review copies early because Mario and Zelda have been the biggest and most anticipated games of the year for Nintendo.

Doesn't mean anything regarding the truthfulness of the perfect scores. You can be sure that Mario Odyssey will be reviewed in a timely manner by all major outlets - the more a game is anticipated, the quicker they give the score.

At least with Zelda we can confirm that EDGE wasn't honest about the score, because Breath of the Wild got a 7/10 elsewhere. So there's room for the argument that Super Mario Odyssey's 10/10 from EDGE is fishy.

Yes. But that 7/10 reviewer unexpectedly announced his retirement from game criticism the same day EDGE's Odyssey score leaked. Coincidence? I think not.

EDGE is indeed working secretly behind the scenes to silence Mario naysayers and Sterling is its latest victim. Who is really pulling the strings in all this?

Wow...the conspiracy theories are getting out off hand...seriously enough is enough

maybe just maybe this game actually deserve a 10/10 score from some reviewers?

Crazy I know... even more crazy is that some reviewers might get copies before other beacuse they are monthly sup...

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Conspiracy Theory much?

The game most certainly is amazing, why complicate things?

I was being so self-evident, you should have known I was joking around . After all, I'm talking with Rol.

Same comment goes for Naum

Why does it bother you guys SO much when someone question Nintendo...or EDGE I guess? Just because you trust them 100% doesnt mean everyone do.

This isn't about trusting Edge or Nintendo, this is about having absolutely no reason to put any value in what some random dude at Forbes said.

We have no reason to distrust the Edge review, we have a bunch of reasons to question the forbes guys baseless accusations.

Enough to try and discredit the argument it looks like.
