It seems that Nintendo is very serious about entering China market with Switch.

Yo...that's crazy. Nintendo's really serious about this, no wonder their stock is outperforming Sony and at a 9 year high. These investors seem convinced this is a big move as well. I hope they find a way to succeed there. In a market dominated by smartphone gaming and PC gaming, I wonder if switch can find a place to fit in or make room for itself in China. Their games are more family friendly, which China approves much more than the usual games that sell well in the west. I think Xenoblade Chronicles 2 might do well there. Of course the Tencent game will be their killer app, this is all very interesting. I wish Nintendo luck in their plans because it ain't gonna be easy.

Edit: They even got Aonuma to record a new "direct" like presentation for Zelda...yeah they're serious.

China has incredible potential for Nintendo, considering that their games are usually family friendly. I hope they capitalize on it.

They had to pretty much sneak past hardware in.
So yes.

The video appears to be in traditional Chinese (the account is traditional chinese). China uses simplified and not traditional.

This video is for Hong Kong (which got the Switch same time as JPN) and Taiwan (getting it in Dec)

What's the difference between the two?

Unlike traditional consoles... The Switch really sets itself apart from the massive pc crowd there. It might be half a chance. I thought that too about the xbox one and the ps4 so time will tell. Good luck Nintendo!
