Forums - Gaming - Super Mario Odyssey will help Nintendo take November from Microsoft. Sony wont slouch either.

Who do you think will sell more units this holiday?

Nintendo 363 68.11%

Microsoft 26 4.88%

Sony 144 27.02%

Total:533

There will probably be a PS Pro price cut, Sony did say a revision is coming.

I'd have to go with Nintendo here. I believe historically they get the biggest holiday boost out of the big 3. Also, Odyssey!

On topic, I think it'll all come down to how much units Nintendo can produce for the holiday period. The added boost of Mario Odyssey and the natural sales increase that comes with November and December will insure that Nintendo will sell every console they're able to put out on the market for that period.

Signature goes here!

Who ever wins is not important. 2018 is the year of PS4 anyways.

Oh yah, i forgot to mention supply, that could be the biggest factor!

Sounds like Nintendo is set up to win the holiday overall. I think Sony will still win out in Europe, be fairly close in NA thanks to the CoD and Battlefronts, AC:Origins and any other multiplat stuff that is not found in on the Switch. Japan will probably be a landslide in favor of Nintendo. MS will do MS things, mainly not much.

Not falling for that one. As if anyone doesn't know what ELEX is. Next thing you're telling me that you didn't take a vacation for the next 2 weeks to play it.

What's ELEX?

Easy win for Nintendo here. With the release of ELEX next week on PS4, X1 and PC nobody other than Nintendo fans will have time to buy games or consoles this holiday.

Seriously, what is this game you only seem to have heard about ?

ELEX? What is that?

Guys, this joke has gone on for too long. I don't believe that I'm surrounded by that many gaming illiterates.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

But Microsoft is finally back to having the most powerful console of it's gen! ...which didn't help them at all the first time they did that. I really don't see X1X doing anything significant, and since Switch is already selling better than XB1, the real battle is between Sony n Nintendo. Gonna say Sony will win because they'll have more stock available.

Between now and Christmas we're going to see Doom, Skyrim, Xenoblade2 and Super Mario Odyssey on the Switch.

What big games are dropping for the other platforms?

You are sitting me with those being big releases right. They are late ports not new releases. I wouldn't count on them doing better than fifa 18.

As for your other questions

Assassins Creed, Battlefront II, Gran Turismo Sport, The evil within II, Wolfenstein, Need for speed, Middle earth shadow of war released today. South park the fractured but whole. Call off duty wotld at war 2. And except for Wolfenstein none of those actually release on Switch  (unprecedented third party support)
