Huh? Of the three you listed I only know of FF having a slightly notorious following, but most of that is infighting. You cant say that bronies, sonic oc, and mcdonalds sauce riots arent as bad as star wars fans.

Seriously?  People really like the official Star Wars fan film that much??  I watched the movie when it came out on Blu-Ray, and I'll never get those 2 hours and 15 minutes back.  The first half was such a snorefest it made Blade Runner look exciting, the characters have as much depth as a puddle, and in the end after the Star Wars fan service settings get turned up to 11 and the credits roll, you're wondering what the hell was the point of making a feature-length film based on a throwaway line of dialogue in the original.  All that just to take us to approximately an hour or so before the original SW movie kicks off, and all the characters that we just met in the previous 2+ hours of fan service are now all dead.  Yay.

I'd honestly rather re-watch Phantom Menace 10x in a row than ever have to suffer through Rogue One:  A Fanservice Story again.

Zelda fans have that Zelda cycle. I didnt believe it was real until BotW came out. Its definitely a problem. Sonic, Bronies are also bad but dont have the benefit of being over 40yrs old like SW e.e

You can have a diverse fanbase w/out it being garbage. See the Kirby (they're weird about Kirby though) and Dragon Quest fanbases.
