1- what are the prices of the consoles in Europe ?

2 - Do you have 360 numbers for that ?

The Wii sold 33% more units during the holiday 2007 despite Wii being very supply constrained, yet you still used your 10% difference factor from the past 14 weeks. No offense but your analysis leaves a lot to be desired.

 If you look at the sales for Wii and PS3 last year in 'others', you will see that the Wii was outselling the PS3 by a large amount. When it came to the holiday season, the Wii maintained this percentage difference and thus, outsold the PS3 by a large percentage (33%) last holiday season. 

So far this year, the percentage gap has closed to roughly 10%. The Wii should maintain this percentage difference going into holiday 2008, and outsell the PS3 by about 10%.

One factor that I have not really even seen noted here is the release date.

If I recall correctly, the PS3 really didn't make it Euro debut til March 2007.
That has multiple skewing effects on the data (which work in both directions).
And it really makes such a comparison invalid.

Looking at data and trends, Wii edges PS3 in Others, beats it by more in NA and Japan.

i really can not see the wii being beaten in Others by the Ps3. Simply because the big hit of nintendo still has to strike in this area. SSBB and wii fit have not even arrived here in europe and mariokart is like several days available? that will give nintendo such a boost (ok PS3 has it's GTA 4 so what, 3 vs 1 seems logical to me who will win)

 1) This works both ways though. Nintendo have yet to release SSBB, MKWii, and Sony have yet to release GTA4, MGS4, FFXIII, GT5. Both companies have big games to release. 

2)  Bit of a bad comparison to prove that Nintendo will sell more. GTA3 > SSBM + MK DD sales wise. Also you ignored MGS4, why? Anyway I think the key is WiiFit. If marketed correctly, it has the potential to be a bigger system seller than GTA4. That could really boost Wii sales.

The other major factor you are forgetting here is Other sales includes sales in regions were Wii has yet to launch. Once Wii launches in those markets, Wii's weekly lead over PS3 will naturally become larger.
