Absolutely. Don't get me wrong, I love the Wii. If I could walk into a store right now and buy *another* one (sold my last one), I would. But I don't want one badly enough to chase it down. When it's readily available, I'll buy another. It has some great games.

I just can't comprehend why it's so bloody important that Capcom put RE5 on the machine. In the next few years, the Wii is going to pull some serious franchises to its loving embrace. Enjoy them when they release, just stop with the complaints that every third party game isn't coming to the console.

 Lets look at it from another perspective; lets say that the Wii got exclusivity of a franchise that has met success on PS3/360 (NOT Xbox/PS2, as it is not the same market necessarily).  Would 360/PS3 owners have every right to want it for their system?  I believe they would.  I would support them in any endeavors they would take to secure the ability to play it.  I really don't see whats so hard to understand about people wanting to play the next game in a series available to them... PS2 fans did it with RE4, after all.

Wii can't handle the truth!

Seriously, the wii isn't a graphical powerhouse, and knowing developers, its "pertiness" will be like Ninjabread man.

Let's say Kingdom Hearts goes to the Wii, which I believe it will. While I'm not a big fan of the series (it's alright), my wife loves the games.

What would I do? Go buy a Wii. It's that simple. Would I prefer that the game go to a console I already own? Sure, why not. But I'm not going to petition SE to put in on a HD console nor am I going to incessantly whine that my console isn't getting the game. In a three console market, that's just the way things work sometimes. It's the publisher's right to put whatever game they want on whatever console they feel best suits that game. If I don't agree, tough. I won't buy the game or will borrow that console and rent the game to make sure the developer didn't get my money.

If you want to play RE5 your probably going to need to buy a 360 or ps3.

 That's not what I asked.  KH is not on ANY of the current consoles (well, 20/60/80 GB PS3 through backcompat, but you know what I mean). 

I am talking about taking a series that has acheived success and a fan base on the console (read: RE4Wii and RE:UC, or PES200X) and making the NEXT iteration of it (RE5, PES2009) not available to those fans.  Would you support calls to continue serving the PES fans on 360/PS3? 

Because that case is analogous to the RE case.  Kingdom Hearts is not; we have no statistically relevant data about which consoles the KH fans own.  We have Soriku, and your wife.  Not exactly a large sample.  On the other hand, we have more than a million data points about who will buy RE games on the Wii (almost 2 million, daaaaamn.  What has it done, now, tripled Capcom's expectations?)

I think that not serving the fans of your series *is* a problem.  Had I been gaming last generation, I would likely have had a Gamecube.  At the same time, I would have been all for Capcom porting it to PS2 for this reason.  Would you have been against it?
