Forums - Gaming - It's the month of Halloween. What horror games are you gonna play?

I'll probably pick up Lakeview Cabin again, though I'm reluctant as I've gotten my ass thoroughly handed too me during my few attempts playing.

Might try Amnesia again, I've been sitting on that game for quite awhile, game freaks me out so I'm reluctant lol.

Does Super Castlevania IV count? Just got SNES Classic, just started playing so I'll probably play that a bunch.

I'd like to try RE7 soon, maybe if I find a cheap enough deal I'll pick it up.

If you like horror you really should play it in VR. Playing such a game blind in VR is a outstanding expierence no gamer should miss out.

By playing it without VR now you will worsen the expierence alot if you get the chance to play it in VR later. So as long as you dont have 0 interest in vr, just wait till you can play it in vr :p At least thats what i would do

Would be nice if Frictional Games had another one coming out. SOMA was a fucking masterpiece!

Real talk no troll. Havent heard or seen much of Soma, it visually looks awesome but besides that, isnt it kinda like a walking sim and if so, what makes it so good cause im interested in maybe buying it.

Didn't see this earlier.  Was Amnesia considered a walking simulator (hate that term)?  If so, then the gameplay is exactly like Amnesia.  First person exploration, puzzle solving, and avoiding and/or escaping from encounters with the game's baddies.  No ability to fight back.

Amnesia was definitely scarier (though this game is no slouch in that department...wear headphones!), but this game has the better story, no doubt. Amazing sound design.  And that ending! So good.  If you like Amnesia, then there's no reason you wouldn't like this one.

I'm playing through Dino Crisis, and maybe after that I'll delve into the Resident Evil games!!

play RE 3 as regina :P

I'm surprised I missed this, considering horror games are my jam. Anyways, I'll likely just be playing The Hanged Man and Blight Dream, since they're the only new ones I've seen released lately. I'm hoping to finish them so I can talk about them on the site in a thread.

I might buy Evil Within 2

The Evil Within 2

And of course Scalebound, that game is freaky!!!!

Got Until Dawn for free with PS Plus. Going to play that. I planned on buying it on disc for $20 but since they offered it for free I put that cash towards Crash Bandicoot N sane Trilogy. So far Until Dawn is good, but I think it's too demanding for the regular PS4 to handle.
