Not even Amiibo can stop the juggernaut that is SMO.

You have to be patient. Sometimes you get runs like this when no one seems to bother coming into the Amazon thread. I think my record was 5 updates in a row without a comment.

I have a feeling we'll see changes after the 30th ...

Thats because we are adjusted to nintendomination......... :P

I mean, I think part of the reason for the inactivity is that this month is kinda like the second Cavs vs Celtics game this past playoffs. I mean, there just comes a point where a curbstomp stops being amusing :P

Mario Odyssey is insane.

2020 predictions: NSW 25m, PS5 6m, XSX 4.5m, PS4 9m, XB1 3m

In December 2019 i predicted 21m Switch, but that was before COVID, obvius increased my predictions.

Are Amiibos the only NFC toys that are selling well?

Seriously though. Mario games aren't typically frontloaded so Mario selling so well out of the gate is terrifying for the implicatioms it has long term. This is looking like it will easily be the best selling 3D Mario to date.

All of the three major NFC franchises (Skylanders, Disney Infinity and Lego Dimensions) are pretty much done for. None of the responsible companies are planning any more sequels or major updates.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

Ubisoft is joining the NFC race in 2018 though with Starlink: Battle for Atlas.

I'm still waiting for them to realize how much this game will bomb.

Good for Nintendo. But I do expect most of the old amiibos are slowly dying.
