Forums - Nintendo - In terms of Indies, Nintendo's support is best this year

Sorry mate, not even close by a long shot - mobiles are obviously getting more games then any other platform.

/s

Joking aside, PC is, and probably always will be, best platfrom for indies due to its open nature, as well as control method...there are shitload of games for PC then are not possible/simple to port to any console.

PC obviously wins in terms of sheer quantity of games. In terms of overall quality and value though, it's beginning to look like, at least to me, that Switch is going to run away with it as far as best choice when it comes to consoles. You have a strong list of games, many of which are likely to be of quality because of Nintendo's quality control, along with the ability to play them on the go + the added value of some being physical releases vs PC indies.

What's the point of getting an indie on Ps4, XBO or even PC if its also avalible on Switch? None, the only good reason would be not having a Switch and that's why indies are selling the most on Switch and this will continue.

Noo,there are about 500 indies on ps4 and with a still faster growing userbase then switch ww, ps4 is definitely the place to be.

Fact is,there is just not that much games to choice from.

I think this is a perception thing because more articles/topics are made about indie games coming to the Switch. This could also correlate to Sony not promoting indies during their conferences anymore.

Well, as some Indies said, they sold the most copies on Switch. And thats still a new system with small userbase. Playstation gamers don't buy games, ... at least not as much as Switch-owners.

I hate comments  like.this.

Switch  has a tiny library, yea  most ps gamers dont buy indies but fifa18 will crush splatoon, zelda, mario kart combined in 1 day.

Playstation  has so many great games its really  easy to forget  the smaller one's.

Let's see what you have to say when in 2-3 years Switch is still the console with better sales for indies.

Also lol at the hyperbole

Are you talking about the West Indies or Dutch East Indies?

Yes, I was talking to some Italian indie devs yesterday and they seem really happy with the Switch marketplace.
It's mostly due to the system having few big titles getting most of the attention, so while this may not last, the Switch is definitely a great market for indies niw.

100% incorrect. The amount of indies and good ones at that on PS4 is staggering. This is ultra pro Nintendo place. So most will probably ignore the facts and agree with the OP. Switch does have some decent indies but it'll never be the best system for indies

The console itself is better suited for indies than any other, you are the one ignoring that fact and using the numbers argument instead, of course a console released few months ago has less games than one released 4 years back, that's such an obvious and lame point.
