There's a difference between not having the money and simply refusing to buy a console.

I dont refuse to play games on consoles i dont own, but i would be sceptical if i was asked to play certain games that i feel are either beneath my ability as a gamer or that i think are particularly poor.

Erm, not quite what I meant. I buy a system because of the games it has available for it, not the brand name that's on the box.  So I don't really consider any system to be friend or foe...

I think there are problems when people won't give Xbox games such as Gears of War and Mass Effect a go because it's not on their system. Actually it really pees me off!

I also understand that people want to be sure in their minds that they didn't waste money on an obsolte console and it sure does suck having people say your console that you payed money for sucks. But i think everyone can rest assured that the market is in a safe posistion where Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo each have a fairly large portion of it which only they can cater for.

Also, Viva Pinata is awesome but that would be a game further down my list if i was going to play one of the Xbox exclusives.

 Unfortunately it happens alot here, but thats why I let the games speak for itself. I have never done what the OT states. For a working gamer, time, money and good games are the important factors.

Sorta. I'm trying not to get too hyped over PS3 exclusives, since I know I won't be owning the console in a looong time. So far only MGS4 and LBP are causing high levels of want.

I'm not fanatical enough to shun entire consoles of course. Just being pragmatic. =P

Never. Thats why I get all systems. I need to play games.

I decide which multi plat games based on the type of the game for the controller. (shooter for 360. racing for PS3. etc.)
