| RolStoppable said: Shouldn't be that hard, all things considered. For one, Switch is on pace to have at least the second-biggest hardware sales for a launch year of a Nintendo system, and two, the record holder in hardware sales (Wii) has its biggest software seller (Wii Sports) completely excluded from the software total. |
You answered my question what was the third strongest title for the Wii if Wii sports is not factored. Twilight princess being second and first title being factored.

What does he mean by "launch year"? Does he just mean until the end of the calendar year? If that's the case, then Switch's only legitimate competition are 3DS and GBA, which were on the market for 10 and 7 months of their first years, respectively, while Switch has 10 months. All other Nintendo consoles since 1995 launched in the second half of the year.
Switch is the second succesful story of the year, only behind BotW. This year is only about Nintendo.

Well, its not fair if they are not considering Wii Sports and Twillight Princess then.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Well, my point still stands, since Wii Sports was such a massive seller.

Ya it isn't exactly fair but i wonder how much they owe to each other. Like the effect of Wii sports on Wii and the other way around.
