Forums - Gaming - Library Comparison: Switch vs PSVR

Which

Switch 38 69.09%

PSVR 17 30.91%

Total:55

Well the Switch Library looks very interesting and I will pick one up.

The PSVR library looks lacking for me personally and I would not want one, if I wanted to go for VR I would perfer it on PC since I have a very capable pc and money is not an issue

and even tough PC VR is much better and even offers a huge selection of porn it still feels like a overpriced addition while the switch looks like an essential gaming device, huge difference ^^

I own both and my library for both is in the double digits. I'll list them later. I'm happy all around.

I think they are pretty much equal, and it really depends on the expereince you are looking for. PSVR offers a next gen expereince, and the first leaping in gaming tech since we went to 3D with PS1 and N64. On the other hand Switch lets you take nearly full fledged, current gen 3D games on the go.

Personally, I will own both, but I find much more value in the PSVR, and I will choose games like Doom and Skyrim on PSVR over the Switch version. After playing VR games, I will always choose VR if it is an option, as the expereince is mutiple times better than tradtional gaming.

The other problem I have with the Switch the lack of connectivity, which really hampers all of its games. If Switch had 4G LTE to keep me connected while gaming, and the ability to be used as a phone when I am not, then it would gain major value, and increase my interest in even double dipping for some games.

For the rest of this year, Mario Odyessy and Gran Tursimo Sport VR are two most anticipated peices of software. So IMO, they are tied for the year, and both make PS4 and XBO look pretty pale in comparison.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

Unless I misread what you meant. I connect my Switch to my phone when I'm at work. Did you mean use the Switch as a phone?

I watched this and lost interest for PSVR: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrHr_heyfZA

The Switch library doesn't look impressive when you account for the fact that heavy hitters like Zeruda and MK8 are Wii U games, and there are other ports. The first real exclusive I've been looking forward to is Mario Odyssey, but 1 game hardly justifies buying the system, yet.

PSVR has a more interesting and diverse library for now. Things will start to change when Nintendo releases more Switch only games, but this is how it is right now.

This is strange comparison, not because PSVR is 6 months longer on market but because are completely difrent platforms, in any case Switch has/will have this year stronger games.

I guess that's where you and I differ. Sometimes, you look at a game and say "That game is on another console so I'm not impressed."

Meanwhile, I look at a game and say "That game is on MY console!? I can play it!" and I get excited.
