Do any of you think the Wii can keep 150k in the US consistently? Or will it drop down again?

drop again - always depends on many Ninty ships

Amazing sales, for the wii over 140k, and PS3 tops 360 again in NA, seems the psp is increasing in sales as well.
I really don't think its necessary to create a new thread everytime numbers come in, and then you just state what everyone sees.....

Hey, they use these threads for fanboy arguments. I just ignore it and reply to those who talk about the numbers.

OT: PS2 at 80k. Very nice!

well....considering 90% of the threads have nothing to do with the #'s (the main part of this site), this is actually good

Nintendomination is trollish. Nintendo is just winning. That is all.

The Next-Gen competition is only between the ps3 and the xbox360. The Wii is a last-gen console with motion sensor controllers and last-gen graphics- So the Wii is dominating itself. Everybody, lets not get it twisted. Next-Gen competition has next-gen graphics. The wager of the next-gen console war is between the ps3 and the xbox360. Thank you for your attention and let the real next-gen console war continue.

Generations are defined solely by when consoles are released. People who use immeasurable qualifiers like graphics are simply creating arguments from thin air to cope with the fact that their console of choice is losing and losing badly. The war between the PS3 and the 360 is simply a war to see who will fail slightly less than the other, because second place isn't winning no matter how you spin it.

Also it's nice to see other people dragging up the price 'issue' again. I'm not really sure why all the fanboys came charging in to damage control and 'explain' the Wii's success. It's been dominating since it was released, I figured people would be used to this by now instead of making snap decisions and half-assed arguments.

Hi,

Retail price of PS3 40gb $399
Retail price of Wii $249

$399 > $249

the end

Well, that sums up this thread.

Last generation, the PS2 launched at $299, whereas the Dreamcast and GameCube launched at $199. Guess that explains why the PS2 sold so poorly.

 Thanks.

Actually I was going to go into the state of the US economy with the housing crisis and runaway inflation on gas and food and how many people today are choosing entertainment based on price.

To say any other factor takes precedence is pretty much silly.
