let me clearify, I mean Nintendo consoles.

Not really N64 had Goldeneye, Tom Clancy Turok, Southpark and Perfect Dark that all did well, COD sold well on the Wii as well.

the market was different 20 years ago, and no COD did not do well on Wii. the franchise did even worse on Wii U.

I think some people should differentiate from remasters and current gen multiplatform titles, I don't even get how he's trying to link Doom to the remasters tbh because the issue then was rereleasing past gen games on new platforms, Doom and W2 are current gen multiplatform titles which the whole context of the situation is far different as these two games fall into another argument of Switch running current gen AAA titles.

As i have said, i've no issue at all with new colossus, however, doom is basically a past-gen title.
Anyway, weren't a bunch of people going out of their way to call the Switch a 9th gen console? if that's the case Doom IS a last gen title given that it released on 8th gen consoles before the switch was commercially available.

Either you're saying switch is 8th gen and doom is a current-gen title for it, or you're saying switch is 9th gen and getting a last gen port, you decide, you can't have both.

Where your approach falls flat on it's face is to assume the defensive position of taking it as an attack, when in actual fact im just pointing out that now Nintendo fans are (finally) in a position to have decent third party support, suddenly the distinction between port and multiplatform isn't as important as it was for other consoles, it's a stupid discrepency, games are games, does it matter if its last gen? does it fuck, does it matter if it was a game that was also released, in a lesser form, on a previous console by the same manufacturer? not at all, why would more games to choose from, even if those games were already previously available, ever be a bad thing?

Simple fact of the matter, it isn't, but hey, that's life.

My beef with Doom (and a-fucking-gain, clearly I've no issues, at all, with new colossus, this is the third time I've stated this). is that they ditched one of the best features the game had to offer, rather than including it and utilizing the switches unique features to make an even better level editor (touchscreen controls, hello?).

So to me, it's just a shoddy port with the graphics scaled back to get it to run, and features they couldn't shoehorn in just removed entirely.

The problem with your argument here is you say you don't have an issue with W2 yet under your own logic that's going to be a past gen title as well because it releases on PS4 and X1 so essentially your own argument contradicts your own stance, in other words your argument is a one rule for one type of deal. Who also said anything about attacks either, that part of your post alone highlights your own mindset and that you turned up with a particular agenda.

You don't even remember the arguments from before properly either, remasters of games that were released to the same userbase in the previous gen while newer games weren't were the issue for people.

The level editor is gone but then people have Doom on the go out the box with out the need for an internet connection to stream between two devices, we don't really care what the game is to you just your constant attempts to bait the userbase is the issue for people.

COD sold 1-2m on Wii despite being late ports so yes it did do well.

I would be interested in Batman Arkham ports for the Switch or ports of Bioshock infinite.
Dying Light could be really fun on the Switch.

Nintendo is DOOMed!

You, sir, won the internet.

Reboots of 90 classics performed well on switch.

NBA 2k and these two games pretty much confirm that FIFA is due to laziness.  There is no reason for that game to have cut content.  That is on EA, not the Switch.

NBA 2K18 = 30FPS Doom = No level editor Wolfenstein 2 = ??? DQH1/2 (cross-gen titles!) = 20-30FPS (Switch), 60FPS (PS4) Sonic Forces = 30FPS

Not only does all of the above have graphical downgrades or will feature graphical downgrades but I imagine Doom and Wolfenstein 2 will be 30FPS while FIFA 18 = 60FPS + No journey mode ...

So who's the lazy one now since EA at least maintained a staple in the franchise with 60FPS while you'll most likely be getting 30FPS in Doom from Bethesda AND cut content too ?

What is the Switch going to do about 30FPS titles on PS4/X1 ?! (Is the Switch going to get 'Pocket Edition' just like FFXV did ? Even lower framerate ? What change in content is it going to be ?)
