Thanks for the info, the videogame market grow a lot in the last year.

I've got data for Switzerland, Finland, and Norway and added it to a spreadsheet so I can make a total European breakdown, but still need Austria, Denmark, and Ireland. Unfortunately I don't think this data is available yet as I searched for it before, but if anyone knows where it is please post.

Wow , Germany is huge on the PC front :)

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

whoa big increases (except for the pc market, it is stabilising, and here and there a bit of +/-)
go consoles

@BKK2: It would be nice to see the breakdown. I doubt there are reports for countires you mentioned but I think adding Australia would be good idea as it also considered one of PAL countries.

So Germany is roughly as big as France?
At first there was report that said Germany console software sales is worth 554 mln euros, some time later another report appeared saying it's not 554 mln but 904 mln. And not it's supposed to be 1.08 bln euros.

It depends how you look at it, in terms of total software sales including PC Germany is bigger:

DE: 54.32m units
FR: 40.354m units

Same for total software value:

DE: €1570m
FR: €1360m

When including hardware sales France just manages to squeeze it due to the higher percentage of console gamers in France:

Total Market Value:

FR: €2482m
DE: €2458m

I will make PAL and Western European Charts. I'm pretty sure data is available for Australia, not so sure about NZ. There is some data for 2005 from Austria, so maybe I'll apply the same market growth as Switzerland since then to it for a rough estimate. Finland, Norway, and Sweden data all seems similar when population is taken into account, so maybe I can make a rough estimate for Denmark off of the other Scandinavian data. As for Ireland, should be similar to UK when population is taken into account, but I'll see what I can find first.

Found 2005 Irish data, so can apply UK % increase to that. Just need something from DK now.

Awesome sales data!

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
