This is what I mean. All we have is that previous GTA games haven't sold very well, so what reason do we have to think GTA:San Andreas Stories (which I assumed is similar to Liberty City Stories and Vice City stories) is going to sell well?

I should be happy a rockstar game is coming to sWitch, but really? LA fucking Noire? Like are you kidding me? It's completely foolish to port this over gta 5 or even max Payne 3 to switch. Heck, midnight club la, table tennis, bully, manhunt, or gta 4 are all better games to port/remaster. Just wtf rockstar.......
Bet with Intrinsic:
The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

It's not dumb, it's convenient. They are also remaking it for the PS4 and XBOne, so porting it to the Switch is not that much extra work.
Leaked images of the Nintendo Switch version of LA Noire! (via Nibel's Twitter account).

Nice. I kinda wanted to play this game. Will get it on Switch of course.

1.32 mil for a spin off on a handheld poorly suited to the game they wanted to make (no analogue stick, very weak graphically) is not bad at all. And the GBA game was a dumpster fire with a metacritic 25 points bellow the series average on system that had no business attempting to have such a game. Its sales are irrelevant and the fact you brought them up is silly. Now I don't know about San Andreas or any of these other old ones, but GTAV on Switch would be easy money. That game still sells well and a portable version that isn't badly gimped would be very exciting for a lot of people. The reality is GTAV sells on whatever system it goes to and sells well. |
At bold:
I think the main reason for that is GTA Online. If GTA V was sold on Switch without GTA Online I don't think the legs would be comparable to the other consoles and PC. If they want to go the GTA route why not start with GTA IV with all the expansions? At least that was all single player content, and it was pretty good too.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

50 bucks to buy a mediocre game with the same visuals as last-gen (for Switch). You'd be crazy if you bought this. Hope it bombs.
