Just look at Amazon Canada to see there is a supply issue. It must be very limited because it has been available only to prime members. Walmart only in store pre orders.

The beast just sold out on US Amazon, It may not win this generation but will put the next xbox in good position to do so. Everyone wants a bit of that True 4K buddy.

That's  why PlayStation  gamers have  been playing  4k on ps4pro.

Everyone talking about how 4K is suddenly the holy grail, meanwhile I just want a console which can play every single game at a solid 60FPS ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Both the PS4Pro and XB1X would be infinitely more interesting to me if the focus was on that instead of 4K and hopefully it will be the focus of the PS5 and whatever comes after the XB1X.

Developers will always want to max out the graphics even if it means sacrificing 60fps in favor for 30fps. It's going to be more down to whether they offer the option to tone the graphics down in favor of framerate, which some games do for the Pro. If Sony mandates developers to offer a performance mode and a graphics mode, then it should appease both sides.

Also, I think we're hitting the point of diminishing returns at 4K resolution. I remember Richard Leadbetter mentioning that it takes quite some effort to notice the difference between checkerboard 4K vs native 4K even at a close distance. Next gen, I think there will be more emphasis on other aspects like AI and physics.

For console gamers the xbox one x provides the best 4K experience and is 40% more powerful than any other console. Of course the PC is far superior but we are discusing console gamers and they don't play (usually) on PC.

I have my doubts that it is the best 4k experience, even on console. It's looking like most 3rd parties will be using cb and dynamic resolution techniques. So we are mainly left with exclusives and first party games. Of which the Sony exclusives like horizon, unchartered, death standing, god of war are on another level.

The XB1x is not a nasa supercomputer, or next gen, it is just a slight step up from the pro in the same way the ps4 has been over the XB1.

What it does do, is repair an almost destroyed reputation this gen, meaning it has a chance next gen, instead of being the end of Microsoft's console business. Enjoy it, but it is time to get real on the difference.

If that's what the case everyone would be playing on PC already.
