Hmm...

I can't make any sort of comment due to my lack of knowledge around this.

Are there any closed experiments where they studied families of different economic backgrounds and compared befor and after free handouts?

We're trying it again in Ontario right now. Three-year study. But of course we're a lot different than America.

I remember hearing that it was going to be tested here, but I haven't heard anything since.

You're in luck because I just spent the past summer researching it for a project.

No Way! A left leaning organisation thinks it's a good idea to give everyone free money and they say the higher the amount, the bigger the benefit is to the economy. I'm gobsmacked.

Is this from the same people who said we should have an imaginary war with imaginary aliens to boost the economy through military spending? Or the same clowns who think minting a $1 Trillion coin would help pay off the national debt? Or the same idiots who think digging a hole and filling it in again is a productive use of labour?

Ah, I live in London, one of the areas that wasn't part of the sample area, so I guess that may have been why.

Doesn't matter how much research. studies or anything indicate that this is a good idea. No matter what country implements it and it works.

There is no way this culture is accepting it and that's quite sad.

Ideas really are nothing in the face of cultural perception. I think the comments in this tread only help to support your viewpoint.

Then why not hand out 50k a month to every adult that would sure make the economy grow even more right?

who pays the $1000 per month, and when everyone has $1000 more to spend a month, who is to say retailers won't follow suit by increasing the price of products to reflect that?

Hand everyone free money and all you do is devalue money.

leftist nonsense, as usual.

Yeah man, these stupid leftie people who did the study never factored anything like that in.
