Depending on which sales tracker you go with, Splatoon 2 has sold over one million copies in Japan.

Media Create has total sales at 949,737 units. However, Famitsu indicates that Splatoon 2 has sold 1,013,842. Factoring in digital sales, it should be over one million regardless.

Nintendo confirmed that Splatoon 2 was a global million seller last week. But aside from Japan, we don’t have concrete, official data in any other region. Nintendo also mentioned that players have participated in over 400 million online battles.

Uh... considering how there are only 2 million Switch owners in the US, probably not. Since it was around 350k at the end of July, I'd guess 500k as of now.

Not bad at all, if Japan's numbers are true on the site, I think there's a good chance it'll surpass the sales of the 1st.
