Forums - Gaming - EA loves Europe! Rockband gets special price.

WTF? That's almost the price of a Wii, and more than a 360 Arcade costs...

I hope it bombs and they have to reduce the price. Not that I want to buy it, just for the hell of it and to punish them back.

I asked an EB guy about it on the weekend - it could cost as much as $300AU (if you convert pounds directly to AU dollars, its closer to $400) here.

So somewhere between a PS2 and a Wii in price.

No thanks. The mike would cost around $10, the drums maybe $20... and the guitar... ? They could sell the entire thing for $99AU, and make a tidy profit.

Go EA, go... :P

Way too much, it kind of makes a person wonder what they're thinking.

Luckily I can import it from the USA if I wanted, and thanks to the weak dollar it will be very cheap. I feel sorry for 360, Wii, PS2 owners...

I wonder if this will be a million seller;.

JUST REMEMBER!!! HOW BIGGER THE SIG, HOW SMALLER THE ****

Thats absolutely ridiculous, i was considering geting this game but i gues thats out the window. Even if i could afford it i would buy it, it would make EA think that the price tag is acceptable.

This is a step too far.

Like I thought, September release for the Wii version... even later. Anyways, "special price", alright!!! (just what I always wanted; feelz special)

Can't you buy/import the US instruments (hardware) and just buy the PAL game (software) when it comes out over here? Aren't those compatible? Software is restricted, but periferals aren't. This is the only way I would be able to buy this game...

@clapiotis: Still mono I think, and no replacement discs in sight...

Hey, this is really expensive. I even find expensive the €100 for GHIII.

Offtopic: BTW, does GHIII in Europe has the same mono problem with the American edition?
Wait, GH3 has mono problems in America?  I'm shocked by that.  I thought Activision would have fixed the problem months ago.  I know they have made the Wii version without sound problems for months now.
