I've always wanted to get into fighting games, but there was just never a convenient time as far as releases go.

Supposdly a (former?) Capcom employee ratted out what hapened.  Supposly Disney wanted all the Capcom characters to look worse than the Marvel characters.  Mega Man was exempted snce supposedly Disney is working on the new show somehow (Probably going to be on Disney XD).  Capcom characters are also going to be useless in the story mode as well. 

That rumor was BS. Several of the Marvel character models looked suspect. Captain America immediately comes to mind.

And this is why it's always a good idea to let companies know when they've screwed up - if it's within their power (like in this case - reworking a face model is doable, renegotiating with Marvel to add in X-Men is not), they might course correct.
