Come on guys, you know you weren't going to be in graphical marvel when you bought a Wii... whatever happened to game play over graphics? Don't start eating your own words ok.
To sum up:
ps2 is giving wii as much as its taking from it
On a side note i find thats what generaly happens with "casual" games, developpers have no incentive to make it high on graphics since most casuals dont look so much for stunning graphics.
well the developers want to make as much money as possible so it's not surprising at all
I don't think that this would change much the situation for the Wii. The Wii can't keep up with PS3 or 360 and third parties don't perform very well generally on it, they have to do multi games. When the PS2 will be discontinued, they will continue multi with PSP, wich will be even worth imo.

Yeah, me too. I think the Wii and PS2 are partners. Once the Wii is ready, it can take the PS2 training wheels off and fly on its own, but right now, it needs the 3rd party dev support provided by being so close to the PS2 graphically.
Sure, the training wheels are 24 inch chrome spinners. Losing them will hurt, lol.
The other company fanboys do get quite snooty when PS2 ports are mentioned. Basically, they say, "Haha, your partner console is the PS2, a LAST GEN system."
Yes, those systems have a similar relationship. PS3/360 and Wii/PS2.
If you wanna get snooty right back, just tell em that my partner is the PS2, and your partner is the Playstation 3 or the Xbox 360. Then laugh a little inside, as you realze who has the better partner.

PS2 should continue, its best for the competition with WII anyway, plus for gamers, especially for RPG fans, since there's not a single JRPG on the PS3 available. And let developers come up with some more interesting PS2 alike games instead of all the party junk they've been showing lately on the WII. Developers see the WII nothing but a cheap cash in console and sorry to say it, but then I really hate the WII for its low graphics rate, as you can really see it.
I'm still buying a lot of PS2 games and my game collection will therefore keep on growing. I'm buying more PS2 games than WII games.

When there is a Wii game that looks as good ad God of War 2, call me.
As the PS2 gets older, developers learn better how to develop for it. If there was no Wii, the PS2 games would look a lot better. I am not saying the PS2 can make a better looking game then the Wii (although I do think the best looking game across both consoles in a PS2 game), but I am saying a PS2 only game would look better then a game that is multi-plat.
There are 117 million PS2 owners, and 23 Million Wii owners. If your going to drop development for one, it should be the Wii :p
There, now that I have balanced it, let's just let developers make games for both and be happy :)
