Yeah, me too. I think the Wii and PS2 are partners. Once the Wii is ready, it can take the PS2 training wheels off and fly on its own, but right now, it needs the 3rd party dev support provided by being so close to the PS2 graphically.
Sure, the training wheels are 24 inch chrome spinners. Losing them will hurt, lol.
The other company fanboys do get quite snooty when PS2 ports are mentioned. Basically, they say, "Haha, your partner console is the PS2, a LAST GEN system."
Yes, those systems have a similar relationship. PS3/360 and Wii/PS2.
If you wanna get snooty right back, just tell em that my partner is the PS2, and your partner is the Playstation 3 or the Xbox 360. Then laugh a little inside, as you realze who has the better partner.
