Forums - Gaming - EA is taking 33% off NBA Live if you preorder

https://www.easports.com/nba-live

Making the game only $40. I find this hilarious, because they have an inferior brand to 2k Sports, so they're trying to win via pricing. Which some of us may remember is EXACTLY what 2k Sports tried to do against EA with ESPN NFL2k5 and EA/the NFL wanted no part of that and signed the exclusive deal we're still suffering through to this day. So we've come full circle.

Just thought anyone interested in the game might like to know that. Also, James Harden is on the cover and I hear he's the first player in NBA Live history with a triple digit flop rating, it's 154. Lastly, there is apparently a demo coming tomorrow. Maybe we'll get another Jesus Bynum moment.

Always a worrying sign when I company wants you to hand over 66% of what they're valuing the product at if you are willing to do it blind... like if you were to wait for reviews they know there is a worse than 33% chance you wouldn't buy the product or they wouldn't be offering this.

Very bad sign.

Now I'm not sure if you were trying to be funny, but this was downright hilarious. I just reread it in Seinfield's voice.

Maybe the reviews will be 33% lower than Live 17's too

Maybe if they made a 33% better game, people would be more interested in it :P

Didn't know there was much Math and percent based humour in Seinfeld (who I'm guessing you are talking about?) No point of that post is meant to be funny it's based on math, which is rarely funny.

If you do find numbers to be funny though could I suggest pressing the windows key and typing "Calc" you'll find hours of fun.

No there wasn't in show nor was I referring to it. I'm just saying I can imagine Seinfield the comedian do something like that for his stand up routine.

If this is the man you are referring to, you are spelling his name incorrectly. I'm just completely lost by this series of comments though because I would more assosiciate Seinfeld with jokes which start with "What's the deal with X, don't you hate how they always try to get you to Y their Zs? I mean, what's up with that?" not % based humour, perhaps there is a maths based comedian named Seinfield who I've not heard of, if that is the case then I would love to check him out. Sounds fantastic!

If only they could pull an NBA Live 13 and spend time making the next installment.
