revelations 2 was on every platform you could name except the wii u. they didnt care. hmmm i wonder why they now bring it to the switch. switch owners should not buy this game.

Why shouldn't Switch owner buy this game? Because it didn't release on the Wii U? Which, theoretically gives people who owned the Wii U more reason to buy Resident Evil: Revelations 1&2 because chances are they missed out on this game. It has been confirmed that all the DLC is also included.

Why shouldn't people buy it?

revelations was a nintendo exclusive sowhy didnt they release revelations 2 on the wii u or 3ds? it was even on the vita of all things. capcom gave nintendo fans the shaft so why should we support it now

YES YES YES YES!!

HOLY SHIT! I WANT THIS! Finally a great 3rd party game - and one I wanted!

Although I never heard much hype around revelations 2, hope it was received well.

These will be my first Resident Evil games.

The second one had a weird marketing scheme because of it's episodic release. It didn't do to well because of the lack of marketing and I guess people didn't have much faith after RE6? But I blame the marketing. Revelations 2 is tied for being my favorite game in the series tied with RE4. I'm known for being a pretty hardcore RE fan. The story is one of the most important in the series and it actually ties into the first Revelations, RE5 (In a HUGE WAY), and ends with a RE6 cliff hanger. The game is absolutely amazing. The story is the best yet and the villain is insanely good.

One of the pitfalls of the game was the story co-op could NOT be played online or even with multiple consoles, only on split screen. If Capcom fixes this on the Switch by letting people play on their own Switches then this game will be one hell of an amazing experience. I really liked how the co-op is done in this game. One player plays as a character with guns, and the others as a support character and they need to coordinate together for puzzles and stuff. Natalia, the little girl can only point at stuff and throw bricks and stuff :P She's so adorable and a complete bad ass!

I wouldn't know, I haven't played one : P

I might get 7 before this collection actually

I loved the first on 3ds and WiiU... always wanted to play the second and was very pissed with Capcom about the Wii U version but hey... who can blame them (only in case of Wii U).

I need to get this..... (1 again) and 2.

Switch!!!

Oh crap, I just realized you said you never played a RE game before. The game is quite character heavy and story based. Some games stand on their own, some don't. RE7 is really good for that so it's a good starting point but you should definitely check out some of the older ones as well. RE4 while is old, is still one of the greatest games ever. They are also remaking RE2.

Just something to keep in mind if that's something that is important to you.

Rev 2 is such garbage. Still This isn't surprising. Every single Nintendo system since Gamecube has had a RE game. GC,DS,Wii,Wii U,3DS and now Switch. The real question is will Switch get a main RE game in it's lifespan? Not been one since 4.

Whaaaa? That's a first. Why do you hate Rev 2 so much?

I can agree with that. Metal Gear Solid is another must play imho. Very good story; don't let the Konami split ruin your enjoyment of those masterpeices.

The Nintendo 3DS was likely not powerful enough to play the game without any significant sacrifices. The Wii U on the other hand was abandoned by most third party companies at this point as it was eviden that the Wii U was going to be a first party only system due to its failure to gain momentum in sales. The first Revelations was a timed 3DS exclusive which also released on Wii U, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The Wii U version bombed.
Capcom were justified in not bring the sequel to Wii U.

People who are interested in the game should support it now, otherwise, the Switch won't get any third party games. It is that simple. If the games don't sell on the platform, the third party companies will not release games on said platform.

If you refuse to buy the game because they didn't want to release an inferior version on the 3DS and a version that would not sell, that is your call. You have the right to your opinion, even if it seems unwarranted.

Good sign. Price ain't bad. Hopefully followed up with more. Resident Evil 7 would certainly be possible on Switch so I will be interested to see if it follows.
