Forums - Gaming - What are some things you don't like in videogames?

1. Cutscenes that don't use ingame images. Takes you out of the game.

2. Intro's that are 20 minutes long, or like 15 minutes long, you play for 3 seconds then are 10 minutes long again. (I'm looking at you FF12.)

3. Open expansive enviroments that don't have content that matches. If I'm in a town in an RPG and only one person is ever going to have something useful to say there is no reason to have 20 other NPCs saying the same nonsense. Throw in some sidequests, or hidden items or some reward.

If I find a neat way to climb up some trees to get on top of a house... put something up there occasionally... or multiple paths to get through a level.

4. Collectables being listed as extra gameplay time. Spending 8 hours finding one green orb hidden just out of the cameras view behind a stairwell isn't what i'd call 8 hours of extra content. I'd call it a pointless add on to stretch out time because the designers didn't have enough creativity to come up with sidequests.

That's all I can think of right now.

You know you can skip all of them in FF12 , right?

This will only take a moment of your time. *steals your watch*

i hate water levels/dungens

especially in the zelda games

I hate:
Lazy devs making shabby games and charging full price.
Escort Missions
Console FPS games
Having a 10 year old yell into their mic online (see console FPS) (It seems the only non kiddy console is PC, and I commend the Wii for not having Voice chat cause I really don't want this problem playing Brawl)
Easy games (I need challenge)
Tedious and time consuming games (Most MMOs fall under this)
Button mashing
Horrible characters (Kratos, Tidus, every character in every GTA game ever, etc)
above all a game has to be fun anything that lacks being fun isn't worth playing.

MaxwellGT2000 - "Does the amount of times you beat it count towards how hardcore you are?"

Wii Friend Code - 5882 9717 7391 0918 (PM me if you add me), PSN - MaxwellGT2000, XBL - BlkKniteCecil, MaxwellGT2000

In-game ads? Or just ads on my Xbox 360's dashboard (wth?). I love you MS...!

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

For me:

-Prohibitive difficulty
-Unintuitive objectives

I know I'll sound like a loser, but I hate games that are too hard. I've never beaten a Zelda game, a Metroid game, or any platformer that's not Mario. I don't know why I suck at adventure games so much, but I do. Zelda frustrates the hell out of me.

I really hate repetitive gameplay and backtracking. It is a poor excuse to extend the gameplay.

And a boring story can really make me drop the game in a heart beat.
