I bought my 60GB PS3 for three reasons. my number one reason was that I wanted Backword Compatibility. I have close to 70 PS1 and PS2 Games and I live in a small apartment for college. My Second reason for picking up my 60GB was for PS3 games, And I currently have five of them. I Plan on buying more of them but I am waiting for games like FFXIII, Valkyrie Chronicles, Disgaea 3, White Kniight Chronicles, and The Last Remnant. The last reason I wanted was the Blu Ray which came with the machine and was not a seperate add on. I currently have 15 Blu Ray movies

Your asking people on a GAMING forum if they bought there PS3 for games or blu-ray? Common sense tells me your going to get a VERY biased answer.

Both, without blu-ray I would have just bought a 360, but I am glad things worked out the way they did.

Same here. Got the PS3 for both blu-ray and games, and after seeing Blu-ray on an HDTV I had to upgrade from my ancient Zenith. I use the PS3 regularly for both movies and games.

I bought a PS3 for Games (obviously), Blu Rays and Home.

I bought mine for games. Blu-ray is a nice addition to the console. I really do not see myself buying BR movies until they get cheaper. Seriously, some of the Blu-ray movies are way too high in price. The PS3 dvd upscale ability is a good enough quality for me now.

 =( lucky, I still have mine. I'd love to get an HDTV, but I don't have nearly enough money and right now, games are more important than an HDTV.
