Forums - Nintendo - BlazBlue creator says “fighting games can definitely find a home on the Switch

Arc System Works is on board as a Switch developer. The company has already put out a few titles on the eShop, but we also know that some sort of BlazBlue game is planned.

Redbull recently spoke with BlazBlue series creator Toshimichi Mori and asked for an update about regarding the franchise on Nintendo’s console. He sadly wouldn’t divulge anything, but did say that “fighting games can definitely find a home on the Switch.”

Mori noted:

“As far as announcements go, I unfortunately can’t say much today, but what I will say is that with the introduction of fun competitive games like Arms, I do believe fighting games can definitely find a home on the Switch. Stay tuned!”

Ultra Street Fighter 2
Arms
Pokken Tournament

Switch has made a good start in the competitive fighting game genre.

Imho Nintendo should push for Soul Calibur.
They could even use Fire Emblem guest characters.

Gonna be great until Smash Bros drops.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I mean, they found a home on Vita; I don't see why they wouldn't on Switch.

lets hope for thier newest game to be on switch.

blazeblue seems to be the new go to 2d traditional fighting game.

and that includes P4A.

the fact that they can port p4A charecters directly lol.

Yeah, it can def work. I'd like to see some fighters on it, notably the DB fighter game. That game looks raaaaad~

I just realized that the Switch finally killed the Vita... nor more reasons to own one I guess.

No duh, blazblue creator. That genre in particular goes well with handhelds. If anyone really likes fighting games they should probably get ns.

Mortal Kombat X is a fever dream though
