GTA IV is going to sell insanely well year round and I honestly think this might be the top selling GTA game of all time in the fastest time period ever. I know a ton of people just waiting to get 360s & PS3s for this game and its going to slaughter the install base.

GTA IV would sell well even if it was shit, but the fact that the game is apparently awesome anyway will just cement it as an incredible seller.

Take Two will not delay this game, they need this money badly.

Isn't it being released at the end of the month? If so, the game should be pretty well finished by now, and their probably preparing to manufacturing process.

Pachter has come out and stated though that if EA takes over Take-Two, they could delay the release of the game.

He stated “they have an economic incentive to delay Grand Theft Auto IV.”

What we should be discussing is, what is this economic incentive? Although I'm not sure what he's referring to, I could definitely see EA doing something like this if they succeed in buying Take Two before GTA IV launches.

This is not about whether the game is finished or not. This is about EA's ideas.

I really hope they don't delay, as I have pre-ordered the game.

No. They are already promoting the game everywhere. To make a delay now would really be a bad idea.
