Since Zelda BOTW Switch Edition is selling for 80 bucks, I wish they would include the DLC. Man they really put their games in higher regard than any fan ever would.

BOTW on Switch 2 is $70, ToTK is $80. At least that's the prices on Walmart.

Still very disappointing for a $70 re-release of an 8 year old game to not include the DLC. Only Nintendo.

I feel like DF quite rightly chose to compare it to a system that targets the same level of resolution/performance on the same third-party titles. The Yakuza 0 bit is wrong altogether; we already confirmed it only has native 4K during the cutscenes, actualy gameplay is 1080p, like the PS4...

DF if anything were making the Switch 2 look very good in comparison, showing games targeting the same level of performance, but also showing the benefits of newer hardware and features.

Series S is technically still a much more performant machine on paper. It's just devs don't generally optimise much for it, so it's been getting the short end of the stick all generation.

You missed the point DF gave an opinion which is now being taken as a true analysis online they should clarify that as this is why the are contradictions for example look at the Cyberpunk part of that video the problems PS4 had with the game even til this day can't be denied but the game is already running better with added content that was problematic for the PS4 to the point it was skipped all this before launch without DLSS and done in 7 weeks. That's SMD's point they've thrown in an opinion piece with out clarifying to their audience that the are assumptions in what they're saying for example look at the FFVIIR part it's clearly the PS5 version but declare PS4 assets.

The PS5 runs those games at 4k/60fps. If you compare them to the Switch 2 the difference in image quality and clarity would be stark.

Switch 2 has roughly the same level of power as base PS4, so those same third-party games are aiming for the same performance metrics. Comparing them allows us to see the benefits of the newer high quality assets Switch 2 supports. That's the logic DF are operating on and I agree with them.

So…what are our thoughts on Yoshi’s Wooly World coming to Switch?

Well it might be coming but I think his reasoning is a bit flawed. He keeps saying it's new art made for the Switch, it could just as easily be a slightly different variant art they've had ages and haven't used before. I'm sure Nintendo have lots of unused art and variant versions on file. We don't see everything. So his assumption it's "brand new" and "reworked for the switch" is just that, an assumption. As it was clearly a mistake that it was put in with it being the art for Yoshi's Crafted World in the other regions broadcasts. Whoever worked on the broadcast just grabbed art from the wrong game, and just because it's a slightly different version to what we've seen before doesn't necessarily mean it was made recently.

Not that it would surprise me if it does happen though.

i was more focused on the image. Didn’t actually watch the video. No idea if it’ll be reworked, though I do believe it must be coming to NSW. Makes no since for Nintendo to slip up by accidentally including the game in their big NSW2 presentation.

What is your basis for declaring it has the power of base PS4 because the is evidence to the contrary again CB2077 hard contradicts this and the are comparisons to PS5 games in this very thread with the not being a stark clarity like you claim, even in a game like Elden Ring the are areas where Switch 2 out does the PS5 version. They aren't aiming for the same performance metrics as for one Phantom Liberty was deemed to much for base PS4 which struggled to run the vanilla game at 30fps Switch 2 is aiming at locked 40fps so immediately this contradicts you.

I noticed that image in the Direct lol. It was put in there by someone and had to be approved by multiple layers of supervisors. Unless Nintendo doing a little trolling lol

I loved Wooly World! A LOT more than I did Crafted World, which I thought was fine, but Wooly World had a whole other level of charm to it that I would love to replay with my daughter. I really hope this ends up releasing. The 3DS got its Wooly World port right when the Switch released, so history might repeat itself.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

Switch 2 eShop, I'm hoping they've added a bloody cart feature as that is way overdue.
