the way i see is this: a good gaming PC costs around $2,500 from what I’m aware. Being that NSW2 is my PC, it is a justified price tag according to my individual demands.

A "Good" gaming desktop PC isnt $2,500 - thats highway robbery. I would never pay that much even for a gaming computer lol.

A good gaming desktop PC should cost between $1,500 to $1,700.

I have a decent gaming desktop that has a 4070 Super, 32 GB RAM and a Ryzen 7 7800X3D - I would consider it a mid tier (maybe a bit less than that now) computer which can play most if not all games at 4K 60 FPS - and I paid $1,400 for that.

If the Switch 2 sells for that absurd amount of money, no one is gonna buy it and thus will repeat what happened to the 3DS, its gonna be a loss for them either way.

I'd rather wait than buy it day 1 in that case.

Nintendo has confirmed that the Switch 2 cartridges are still lickable.

Whether the vent is as sniffable as the steam decks remains to be seen.

Oh great, here we freaking with this shit show in the US had to of course affect Canadian pre-orders now ....

Ugh, hopefully this is likely an issue of avoiding scalping Canadian pre-orders by the Americans so gotta keep the parity for the pre-order's day or revisiting their stock transitions route for the allocated numbers going to Canada or something like that.

An increase in price would be the worst possible news to come. I don't believe it to be the case however.

We have a terrible neighbor down South that's trying to annex us. -_-

Confirming the important stuff.

Aaaaand, just like that, orange man reduced the tariffs of every country but China to 10% for 90 days.
Hope that this at least secures a good launch for the Switch 2.

Is this man on something we don't know about because this flipflopping is not normal even for some of the most unhinged political figures in history the was at least consistency for everyone else to navigate through it but here it's fire one day ice another, how exactly are the American markets meant to function?

Not normal and not good for the economy, but something something woke something something.

This is an interesting perspective on the Switch 2 price vs how powerful it is as a gaming system.

To add to that SMD tackles the DF situation

I feel like DF quite rightly chose to compare it to a system that targets the same level of resolution/performance on the same third-party titles. The Yakuza 0 bit is wrong altogether; we already confirmed it only has native 4K during the cutscenes, actualy gameplay is 1080p, like the PS4...

DF if anything were making the Switch 2 look very good in comparison, showing games targeting the same level of performance, but also showing the benefits of newer hardware and features.

Series S is technically still a much more performant machine on paper. It's just devs don't generally optimise much for it, so it's been getting the short end of the stick all generation.
