Woke up at 3am noticing my wife wasn’t there. Went to our office and saw her playing Pokopia. She’d been playing it since it had launched a few hours earlier lol.

Meanwhile, I’ve been grinding FireRed lol. Finally got my Charizard last night!

Lol that’s awesome! Hope you two are enjoying your Pokémon games. :)

My copy of Pokopia is coming in the next hour— I don’t expect to play for some time, but I like to have the option to jump in if ever I have a craving.

Pokopia is coming at the perfect time for me, honestly. I’ve been trying really hard to simply settle on one game and not try to play every game known to man… playing too many games, while great for expanding your horizon, does create an over-saturation effect (i.e., for instance, I’ll be much less likely to cherish my experience with a game I spent one or two weeks on than the game I spent several months playing— BotW/TotK/Mario Odyssey are perfect examples of this for me).

Maybe I just need to settle down and play some Pokopia. Perhaps this could be my next TotK. I’ve never been a big fan of cozy (excluding TotK… yes I’d consider that a cozy game), but this could be the game I’m looking for.

I lowkey find myself wanting to get into cozy life sim games lol. She’s never been big on Animal Crossing but Stardew Valley, the recent remake of Story of Seasons, and Winter Burrow has been her go to’s lately. And whenever I take a break from raging on whatever I’m playing, I’ll take my headphones off and hear the relaxing music, the ambient sounds, etc and I’ll feel a sense of calmness that I want cover myself in lol.

So far, Pokopia has those bases covered. She’s planning on playing that for the foreseeable future lol. Whenever I get tired of traditional gaming, I may retire to a life of cozy life sims lol

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind

Should there be another Pokken?
