GameFreak needs to start pumping out some 2.5D Pokémon games. Not for the mainline entries, but to accompany remakes and Legends. That’d give them more time between mainline entries, as well as some potentially highly polished, small-scope Pokémon titles. An evolution on where the DS left off.

So you mean top down but in 3D graphics?

The are no details on how it'll look other than a 2.5D version is rumoured to be on the way, the are various ways in how that could be done if true.

I believe that’s what that means. I’m thinking of something along the lines of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom/Link’s Awakening Remake but with an art-style closer to Sonic Superstars or Mario Wonder. (Or an anime art-style could look pretty!)

Alright well I’m glad I didn’t get my hopes up for the story mode— I love the tennis gameplay regardless so still a Day One pickup for me! This marks the fourth NS2 game I’ll have purchased at launch (MKWorld, DKBananza, Kirby Air Riders).

Early impressions on Pokopia make me extremely sad I don’t have hundreds of hours to dump into the game lol. Sounds like it’s coming along well.

I've played the game for a few hours already and haven't even touched the story or online yet. I have to say it is better than I thought it would be. Probably the best Mario tennis game I've played.

Sounds like Nathaniel Bandy expected too much for the adventure mode IN A MARIO SPORTS GAME. What a stupid reason to not spend money on a game. -_-
