I'm confused by the internet's reaction to this Partner Showcase...? Interestingly enough, this is my first time watching a Partner Showcase, and all-in-all, I walked away from it feeling quite pleased. What's up with everybody calling it "trash"? Obviously there wasn't going to be some major third-party reveal or anything. (Though even then we did get lots of updates such as Orbitals, Adventure of Elliot, FFVII Rebirth, Microsoft support on NS2, etc.).

Also: I'm predicting Final Fantasy VII: Part III will come out in the near future. Releasing FFVII Remake & Rebirth so close together on Switch 2 leads me to believe SquEnix is prepping for a new launch cycle for sometime in 2027.

You just answered your question lol. Folks online are always going to expect the exact opposite. Not realizing Nintendo wants their Directs to be for those that are either only in the Nintendo ecosystem or overwhelmingly are.

Those that are calling the Direct trash are those that have already played all of these games on other platforms and wanted something new.

For me it just had a lot of titles I didn't care for, very little from western publishers and it lacked new announcements. The three announcements that interested me were Valheim, Digimon and Oblivion, but they're all just old ports.

I'll get some of the games sure, but there wasn't anything that really excited me.

Wtf. They're the last people I'd expect to do this Bethesda usually don'5 even put the data on disc for PS5. Hope oblivion is same because that's the one I want on switch 2.

Sorry lol

Ugh... I don't even mind keycards, but code in box is an instant no from me. If it's not on cart/keycards I'll just play it on pc (which I already have lol).

The super cheap keycard option should have completely replaced and put an end to the code in box. Really disappointing some publishers are still choosing to do code in box which has zero benefit over just buying digital.

It would be cool to see how they handle a blind protagonist.

Lets not go crazy. I think its reasonable to expect that if you're in a topic like this you may see info about unannounced games.

Eh... it would be nice if others were mindful when spreading official artwork of unreleased content. I don't think that's much of a demand. IDC if we're talking about hear-say, but artwork catches the eye and is one of those things where once you see it, it sometimes can't be unseen.

As someone mentioned information on unannounced titles would be expected in a news thread, artwork is no different than a screen, clip or trailer especially in regards to only showing supposed protagonists.

Probably not the place to debate it but i feel like spoilers are more for like plot points or surprises. But just "this game may exist and the main character may look like this". Meh.

Basically would a significant amount of people feel like their experience has been diminished by knowing this? For a major plot twist id say yes. If its just like "the main character looks like this" I really dont think so. Especially since that's the kind of thing that would be on a box art and trailers etc.

Pragmata screens took these from the demo.

?? For some reason it won't post the other screens.
