If Nintendo doesn't want Metroid to be rated M, then why not make a new IP that's for that particular audience?

They are, that's what games like The Duskbloods are for.

I'd still like to see Nintendo do a successor to Perfect Dark, assuming Metroid Prime isn't Perfect Dark's successor. The only things they have in common are they're first person shooters, star badass female leads, and feature scary aliens as the antagonists.
