It's not terrible, it's just that I've gotten used to playing it on a modern set so going back to the old set it looks washed out by comparison, the colours and lighting don't really pop and it's only 1080p so you don't get the clarity of a modern 4K set.

I haven't yet gotten the appeal of 4K resolution.

It's less the resolution itself and more that just modern TVs have way better scaling and picture clarity than an older, lower res one. My old screen just isn't as sharp or clean.

You guys think Nintendo’s planning on sticking with their April/September Direct pattern next year? Or will they be back to February/June/September?

Back to Feb/June/Sept I expect; this year was only really different cos it was a generational transition.

With what's currently slated for 2026 - I'd be shocked if we didn't get a Feb direct.

All we have for Switch 2 past February is Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, Splatoon Raiders, The Duskbloods, Pokemon Gen 10. NONE of which have dates or even windows.

Just want to highlight that Octopath 0 is a great deal of fun.
