So far, very unimpressed with the announced additions to the game. Nothing really special that sets the game apart from the first and seems to be a bit rushed.. I have yet to play B2W2, but I've heard great things those had to offer compared to the original versions, so I'm still hopeful they have something big to announce for this game.

Well the western videos for USUM are all pretty bad. As is the typical case for western Pokemon trailers. So very few trailers or videos are any good, they're terrible at selling their games.
THIS is a far better trailer that acutally shows these are different games: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLPHod1FzSk

Epic music and flashy cutscenes are nice n all, but I think actual new content is the biggest factor in differentiation, and the JP trailer doesn't do any better job of that. Sure it has a new more bombastic story, we've long known this, but everything else is barely a step up from Sun/Moon. A couple new UBs, a couple new forms, some new Z moves, taking pics with your Pokemon, a few new areas, and that's about it. As feared, it seems the reason for the lack of coverage is because there's not much to cover. Even as a biased Pokemon fan, I could only recommend these games to those who haven't already gotten Sun/Moon.

The trailers are way better and look great
But they are still lacking in new content, which I hope they still have something yet to reveal D:

RolStoppable said: Yono and the Celestial Elephants released on Switch today! Game looks cool, price seems okay, but going to check out reviews to make sure. The only review out there is from NintendoWorldReport and they gave it an 8/10, but going to read the review to make sure. "Got close to 100% completion within five hours," so much for that. |
The only redeeming feature I saw was the cute character model, the rest looked a bit iffy.
But an ok price? 15€? The eShop games seem a bit overpriced.
Christmas sale might be near, so I'm waiting for some 50% sales.
Switch might even get the Super Indie Connection (January) or the Nindie Celebration (March) sales.
...although Nintendo might have locked eShop deals in the online service.
RolStoppable said: The price is okay on the surface, because €15 is what I am fine with paying for a digital game. Of course it ceases to be okay when the game itself is way too short to justify its price tag. |
Value is in the eye of the beholder.

Great conventional wisdom, but you've already complained about the price, so why post this? |
Didn't want to leave you hanging as I normally do.
