$50?? I remember back when Amiibo were $12…actually, I remember seeing Amiibo figures selling in bargain bins for <$5 back in 2016.

Tbh Amiibos now are much higher in quality compared to back then, I'm gunning for that Samus and Viola bike, I have the ZS Samus and the Dread Amiibos.

Dude, they sold fairly complex figurines for the original price. The Baby Metroid amiibo was 15 dollars for example (Samus + Metroid = 30 dollars). Dark Samus Smash amiibo is very good quality and it costes 15. Samus + EMMI same as Samus + Metroid: 30 dollars.

The price increase doesn't make sense besides them being greedy.

Pricing is getting ridiculous. 70 for 2 upresed wii games is crazy. The max that collection should be is 40 and that is being generous. Games from that time period don't even look particularly good at higher resolutions, usually it just highlights graphical flaws from games that were never meant to be played at 4k. Surely the galaxy games deserve the same treatment that metroid prime, ttyd and xenoblade got.

I agree with the price (Should be max $50) but the games arent just upresed - there are new features

-Assist mode

-More storybook chapters

-Soundtrack mode

-Amiibo support

So pretty much nothing of any particular worth is being added. I don't need to buy them to see the new chapters or listen to the soundtracks.

I have some of the original the quality of them wasn't consistent, Samus and EMMi in UK has always been £35 which is $50 not $30 and came out in 2021 so isn't even close to being one of the original in fact ammibos been around £25 to £35 for a while now.

No, but you do need to buy to play the game lol.

On the topic of Amiibo…this newest line of figurines look incredible! First time in ages where an Amiibo has gotten me interested. The price tag is making my eyes water a little lol, though the Mario Amiibo are definitely must-buys for me. These are pretty much mini gaming statues at this point with in-game functionality.

If you want older quality figures for the original price, take a look at things like Wolf Link amiibo (2016) or Mario's 30th Anniversary amiibo (2015). I think you'll agree that they look pretty good compared to current amiibo.

This is not acceptable. There hasn't been a jump in quality. Only in price. And even if there was a jump in quality, it's still a cheap tiny figurine at the price of almost a full game. It's insane.
